The LAWALISI joined forces with Professor Murteza Bedir and the Faculty of Theology, Istanbul University, to convene a major international conference on Islamic legal theory, examining intellectual traditions within the discipline of Islamic Legal Theory.  The conference brought together both established researchers and early career scholars for a three day, intensive set of discussions on Islamic legal theory across all time periods.  Reports on the conference are available here and here.  The programme can be seen here.
